Moods for Moderns is an indie-rock band from Detroit, Michigan, featuring Nathan Beale, Ben Force, and Dave Shettler. They released one album, 2001's Loud & Clear on Toledo, Ohio's Doghouse Records. The band formed in 1998 and is named after the tenth track of Elvis Costello's third album, Armed Forces.Two of the members have and continue to be in another band that goes by the name of Koufax.
