Kaddisfly is an American band from Eugene, Oregon whose style has been dubbed progressive, post-hardcore, experimental and alternative. The band is currently signed to Hopeless Records. They formed in 2000, taking their name from a small moth-like insect, the Caddisfly. Their lyrics are mostly about natural settings and the power of the human spirit, an unusual trait among bands on the modern rock scene. Kaddisfly is a very active band when it comes to touring, and has been doing so almost non-stop for the past few years. They have embarked on multiple nation wide tours. They recently finished the 2007 Take Action! Tour with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and A Static Lullaby. Take Action! is a nationwide tour with intentions of raising suicide awareness and prevention.
