Nenedu Nenedu Nodu from Gille

After the Hindi storm, the Kannada music industry had to respond with something and sure it does. The song in question is Nenedu Nenedu Nodu from the album Gille. For those of you who know a little bit of Tamil, Telugu and Kannada should have a bell ringing. Yes, it looks like 7/G Rainbow colony (7/G Brindavan Colony for Telugu folks) has been remade in Kannada after all these years. I should say it was a pleasant surprise when I saw Yuvan's name in a Kannada album - that was before I realized that it was a remake. But this should not prevent you from having a listen because one of the main differences between this song and the old ones is Shreya's voice itself. I do think that the always sweet voice of Shreya is near it's peak at the moment and it could be a good exercise to listen to the three versions (Tamil, Telugu and Kannada) one after the other. So, a short post just to inform about the release since there is nothing much to describe. The audio listing is pretty much the same (Rajesh Krishnan replacing K.K for the other version of Nenedu Nenedu Nodu) featuring Karthik, Harish Raghavendhar, Madhumitha etc and in that aspect it is a faithful remake. It would be good to know what Gille means though. A totally different title that does not look like an address.... (Read complete news)
