Canton Jones is a gospel musician and Christian rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. He began singing in a vocal group founded by his father as a teenager, and upon attending Morehouse College he joined the school's Glee Club. Jones released his first album, 20 Years 3 Months 12 Days, in 2002. He collaborated with Lil iROCC Williams on Williams's 2004 debut album, and wrote and performed a song, "You and Me", for the compilation Holy Hip-Hop:Taking the Gospel to the Streets. Jones's second album, The Password, was released independently in 2004; soon after, Jones signed to EMI and released his major label debut, Love Jones, in the summer of 2005.
