Atmos is a psychedelic trance artist from Sweden whose real name is Tomasz Balicki. Tomasz is originally from Poland. He is most famous for his 2001 hit, "The Only Process", released on various compilations.Atmos, along with other Swedish artists like Noma, Vibrasphere and Human Blue, was responsible for introducing and popularizing the new, minimal and progressive, form of psytrance circa 2000. His music is characterized by a combination of deep pulsating beats and basslines with subtle, understated melodies and soaring atmospheric sounds, as heard especially on his debut album "Headcleaner". Atmos' 2004 "2nd Brigade" album seems to target a more mainstream audience than his previous work, and is a good example of progressive dance music.
